Anyone know someone in the Corpus area who could check out a car for me? And/or a shop that can do a good, thorough, trustworthy pre-purchase inspection?

The only wrench turning person I know in Corpus is one of the owners of this place: https://ssaftx.com/ . I guess they do emergency vehicle upfitting, too.
He is actually a gunsmith now, but he was vehicle mechanic in the Marine Corps before he went to gunsmithing school . I don’t know that automotive PPI’s are really up his alley, but it is possible he could point you in the direction of someone good.
